From 2007 to 2009, Hristina worked for Radio AURA and FlashNews. In 2012, she completed a spring internship at Bleacher Report, where she wrote news and features about sports. In 2014, she began working as the managing editor of Pangea Today. She contributed work on Explore from 2017 to 2022.


Hristina earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communications from American University in Bulgaria in 2009. In 2012, she earned her master's degree in journalism from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
