These Groups Should Really Take Advantage Of Free & Discounted Admission To Sea World In 2024

For theme park enthusiasts who visit multiple times a year, an annual pass can be an incredible value. Sometimes you may even live close enough that you can pop on over after work and hit up a few rides before dinner. You might even just choose to grab a snack and do some people-watching. Guests of Disney parks such as Walt Disney World and Disneyland know about this life all too well. And if you're in Southern California, there are plenty of other options for theme parks with annual passes as well like Knott's Berry Farm, Universal Studios Hollywood, and LEGOland.

Although, if you head a little more south down I-5, you will find one of the best annual pass values in the Golden State. For well under half of the cheapest Disneyland Magic Key package, you can get a pass to SeaWorld. Not only does this include free parking, discounts in the park, and no blackout dates, you get two free guest tickets with a Silver Pass or four free tickets with a Gold Pass. You also have the option to add on a pass to Sesame Place San Diego too.

As if that wasn't enough savings for SeaWorld fans, there are now two other pass options in 2024 for specific groups of people that go as low as zero dollars. That's right! They are offering free admission for the whole year if you qualify, so keep reading to see if you fit the bill.

Teacher Fun Card

Education is an integral part of SeaWorld's mission statement. Through their shows, attractions, and conservation efforts, they aim to teach their guests about the wonderful animals that inhabit the world and hopefully inspire citizens to get involved in saving and protecting wildlife. So in accordance with the classic saying "Game recognizes game," the theme park has initiated the 2024 Teacher Fun Card program. This allows teachers to receive a complimentary pass that entitles them to unlimited admission to SeaWorld San Diego until the end of 2024.

However, as expected, there is some fine print. First, the Teacher Fun Card is only available to "active and certified K-12 Southern California and Arizona grade school teachers who hold a current Teaching Credential." In order to verify their status, interested teachers will have to register through Additionally, private school teachers must also acquire a letter from their principal on school letterhead, a valid California or Arizona ID, and a current pay stub. And once they receive the card, teachers should note that it will be blacked out on May 26, July 7, 13, 20, 27, and September 1, so their benefits will be invalid on those days.

Online registration for the card ends on May 31, 2024. This means that registration and the first park visit must be completed on or before this date in order to activate the card and continue using it throughout the year as a resource for lessons or just for some well-deserved fun.

Preschool Fun Card

Children are our future and SeaWorld knows this fact. By teaching the young generations about wildlife and conservation efforts, there is a hope that they will learn good habits and make an effort to make the world a better place. While that's not explicitly revealed to be the reason for this promotion, the Preschool Fun Card is the perfect way to get young kids interested and potentially build a foundation for a better tomorrow.

Just like the Teacher Fun Card, the Preschool Fun Card was initially a complementary offering by SeaWorld San Diego. However, it appears that all the free cards have been claimed already. Instead, the theme park is still offering a pretty sweet discount for kids age five and younger. For just $24, eligible children can receive unlimited admission through December 31, 2024.

Although, the limitations are a bit more focused on this deal. Naturally, there are blackout dates on May 26, July 6, 13, 20, 27, and September 1. And May 31, 2024 is the cutoff date for the first visit to activate the card as well. But the young visitors also need to show proof of residency in San Diego and Orange Country to be considered eligible for the pass.

Separate tickets are also required for adults accompanying the little tikes to the park. However, considering the regular price of admission, every bit of savings counts for cost-conscious consumers. Plus, that extra cash could go toward the kids' (or your) snacks and merch.
