Though there's a selection of great short hikes and trails in the area, there's none quite as good as the Tortoise, Magnolia, Tamoka, and Coquina Loop. This short trail takes less than an hour to complete, but features a stunning nature center, with exhibits of 300 species of native plants, reptiles, birds, butterflies, and mammals.

The best time to visit Titusville is in October. At this time of year, the bioluminescence is still visible in the lakes, and the weather is not as hot and humid as it is during the peak summer months. If you don't mind missing out on the spectacle of the glowing lakes, then spring and fall are also excellent times to visit. Their milder temperatures and clear skies make it the perfect time of year to visit for seeing a rocket launch.
