Most of us certainly are (especially during the cold winter months), but I don't know anyone who's clamoring to go to a crowded, touristy destination where we'll need to arrive at the beach or pool by 7 a.m. to secure a spot.
Enter El Tunco. This hidden gem of a beach town, nestled along the stunning Pacific coast of El Salvador, checks all the above boxes. Known for its laid-back atmosphere and stunning scenery, it's become a favorite of travelers looking for an off-the-beaten-path adventure.
El Tunco may be small, but its cultural richness is evident in every corner. Take a stroll through the colorful streets, which are adorned with vibrant murals that depict the town's history and the spirit of its people.
