The Most Visited Amusement Park In Europe At This Popular Tourist Destination

Tourists in Paris, France, visit the city for its iconic attractions, including the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and many more. However, a short ride from the city via the RER A train at Paris' Nation Station is a day trip idea: Disneyland Paris. This is, in fact, the only Disneyland park that can be found in Europe. While Europe has several theme parks across the continent, Disneyland Paris was the busiest in 2022, per a study conducted by AECOM. Likewise, Forbes reported that Disneyland Paris made $2.6 billion in revenue that year alone.

Previously called Euro Disney, Disneyland Paris opened in 1992 and consists of two parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios. The former has a Sleeping Beauty Castle and compares to the original Disneyland Park while the latter is similar to California Adventure, both in Anaheim, California.

That said, tips that every Disneyland visitor should know before their trip include purchasing tickets ahead of time. At the time of this publication, a one-day ticket to Disneyland Paris costs $66.64 for one park and $96.39 for both.

Even if you've visited Disneyland in the States, a trip to Disneyland Paris will be a completely different experience. This is thanks to their impressive rides, food, and more.

Attractions at Disneyland Paris you won't want to miss

Disneyland Park in Paris is split into different sections, including Fantasyland, Adventureland, Discoveryland, Frontierland, and Main Street U.S.A. Visitors looking for thrills can ride Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril, a roller coaster with drops and turns, and Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, a dark indoor coaster.

However, those who want to avoid adrenaline-filled rides will be happy to learn that most attractions at Disneyland Park are slow dark rides targeted at young children. For example, Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains tells the story of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs." Likewise, walk-through attractions, such as Le Passage Enchanté d'Aladdin, which take guests through the fictional land of Agrabah, are also commonplace.

Then there's Walt Disney Studios, which has a Hollywood and film theme. In July 2022, the park opened an Avengers Campus to commemorate Disneyland Paris' 30th Anniversary. With this came two new rides. These include the Avengers Assemble: Flight Force (seen in the TikTok above by user @pops_discovery), a coaster that goes from 0 to 60 in a matter of seconds, per Insider; and the Spider-Man W.E.B Adventure, a 3-D, dark ride.

Other sections in Walt Disney Studios include Toon Studio, Worlds of Pixar, Front Lot, and the production courtyard. At Worlds of Pixar, there's the first-ever "Ratatouille" ride, Ratatouille: The Adventure. The 4-D ride opened in 2014 and transports guests through Gusteau's kitchen.

Unforgettable dining experiences at Disneyland Paris

Disneyland attracts foodies with its aesthetically pleasing treats and tasty meals. Given that France is famous for its cuisine, it's no surprise that Disneyland Paris has excellent dining options. If you're a "Ratatouille" fan, you're in luck. Bistrot Chez Rémy, seen in the TikTok above posted by user @bogiiiii8, is a themed restaurant found at Walt Disney Studios. Diners here can choose between the Rémy menu or the Émile menu. The latter features a starter and a main course, such as grilled steak or roast chicken, while the former includes this and dessert. Vegan and vegetarian options are available.

Those who want to splurge on a fancy meal can dine at Auberge de Cendrillon. Inspired by Medieval architecture, this princess-themed restaurant in Disneyland Park's Fantasyland serves classic French fare. For 95 euros, you get a three-course meal. Main dishes include beef casserole in red wine sauce and pan-fried turbot fillet. Like Bistrot Chez Rémy, vegan and vegetarian items are on the menu.

However, quick and affordable fast food is also plentiful at Disneyland Paris. Café Hyperion, for example, sells burgers and fries, and Casa de Coco has Mexican-inspired burritos and more.

As for accommodations, Disneyland Paris has seven hotels with different themes. One unique option is the Marvel movie-inspired Disney Hotel New York. Two days here will easily set back guests more than a thousand dollars. Needless to say, a trip to Disneyland Paris can be planned with and without a budget.
