Experience

Sierra has more than 15 years of experience as a writer. She published her first book, "101 Things I'll Teach My Daughter," while she was still in college. In 2017, she founded a media brand called The Local Mystic, an educational hub devoted to mindful, natural living for women. Through The Local Mystic, she's written books, hosted women's circles, and lead wellness retreats worldwide. She's been an avid freelancer over the years, penning articles for Yoga Journal, HuffPost, Mother Earth Living, and Outside Magazine. Her writing has taken her around the world, from New York and London to New Orleans and beyond. She joined Static Media as a Features writer for Explore.com, using her expertise in the traveling lifestyle to create dynamic and inspiring stories.

Education

Sierra had a bachelor's degree in journalism from Indiana University Bloomington.
