Experience

Sara has eight years of experience in television news and freelance writing. She was a TV news reporter in Fairbanks, Alaska, and then moved to New Haven, Connecticut, where she worked as a news producer. She also wrote for JNCCN 360. Now that she works remotely, she is able to travel all over the country, camping, and hiking along the way. As a writer for Islands, Sara uses her travel experience to inform her reporting on everything from the best things to pack for road trip to the must-see travel destinations you may have overlooked.

Education

Sara has a bachelor's degree in molecular and cell biology from the University of Connecticut and a master's degree in science communication from Stony Brook University.
