John joined Static Media in 2023 as a features editor for the Explore brand, where he spends his days working on articles and developing a severe case of wanderlust. He has worked as a professional writer and editor since the winter of 2013. A keen writer since childhood, John wrote recreationally until an unlikely offer came along to work in Ljubljana, Slovenia. In the years since, John has written and edited travel guides for Fodor's, Time Out, In Your Pocket, Culture Trip, and more, covering countries worldwide, big cities and small villages alike. He's also written extensively about sports and professional wrestling for various publications.

Education

John has a Bachelor of Arts degree in disability studies and education from Liverpool Hope University.
