20 Of The Most Shark-Infested Beaches In The World
There were more than 1,200 shark attacks in the last decade, although only 95 of them were fatal, according to the Global Shark Attack File, which tracks shark attacks.[slideshow:104100]
Between 2008 and 2018, the U.S. had 580 shark attacks, the highest of any country, with 284 of those happening in Florida. The country that had the most attacks after the U.S. is Australia with 256.
In many cases, the beaches with the most shark attacks happen to be the beaches with the most people, rather than the most sharks.
