Visit: San Pedro—According to TripAdvisor, this highly sought after tropical destination was made famous by Madonna's "La Isla Bonita." But don't worry, it's not a total tourist trap. San Pedro is home to magnificent beaches with plenty of room for all visitors to share.

What to do: Don't miss out on the chance to dive in "The Great Blue Hole"— a 10,000-year-old submarine sinkhole that's part of the Belize Barrier Reef (the largest barrier reef in the northern hemisphere). You should also try snorkeling in Shark Ray Alley, cave tubing, horseback riding and scenic hiking.
