Sweet Snow Deals For College Students In The Northeast

#10 Black Mountain Ski Resort— Rumford, Maine

Black Mountain secured the last spot with it's everyday deals. Maine's 4th tallest ski area sits at 1380 ft. according to their website, "home of the $15 lift ticket and $150 season pass." That $15 will get you on the mountain any day, even holidays. With prices that low and proximity to Dartmouth, Western Maine University and some University of Maine campuses, you could bring all your college buddies.

#9 North East Slopes— East Corinth, Vt.

North East Slopes isn't offering a deal exclusively to college students but it made the list for its regular prices. A full weekend day is just $15 and their specialty "Nor-easter Burger" made with locally raised beef is just $4. We'd make the trip just to try the burger!

#8 Thunder Ridge Ski Area— Patterson, NY

Thunder Ridge offers a great deal and is a quick 24 minute drive for Western Connecticut State University students. Blackout dates are listed on nearly every special rate, no holidays or no weekends, but not at Thunder Ridge. College students ride for $20 starting at 3 p.m. and $15 starting at 5 p.m. every day except Sunday. That's your designated study day.

#7 Greek Peak Mountain Resort— Cortland, NY

Greek Peak hosts a college night on Monday where students pay $15 for a night lift ticket. For students from SUNY Cortland, Cornell University and Ithaca College, the mountain is less than a half hour drive. If your schedule isn't flexible enough for college night, they offer an additional $8 off any day-long ticket for students. And if you can get there Wednesday, it's 25 cent wing night with the purchase of a $25 night lift ticket.

#6 Bear Creek Mountain Resort— Macungie, Pa.

How much would you pay for all-day access to 86 skiable acres and plenty of beginner and intermediate terrain? How does $20 sound? Bear Creek's college day is Monday and when you bring your student ID card you can ride all day for just $20. An awesome deal and a sub-2 hour ride from both Philly and NYC.

#5 Bolton Valley Ski Area— Bolton Valley, Vt.

Bolton Valley has thought of everything (and by everything we mean food, obviously). Their college night is each Wednesday from Jan. 8 to March 20, beginning at noon. College students ride for only $19, and eat for even less. Pizza, hot dogs and sodas in the Base Lodge Cafeteria are all just $2 each. This deal is perfect for students in the Burlington area, only a half hour trip.

#4 Whaleback Mountain— Enfield, NH

Get another deep discount on a season pass at Whaleback. A regular season pass will set you back $315, but a valid college ID will get you a $99 season pass. It's worth mentioning that this mountain offers many trails for each skill level, so you won't have to worry about being stuck riding the same trail each visit.

#3 The 4.0 College Pass

When it comes to East Coast season passes you can't beat this four-mountain deal. College students can ride at Killington, Okemo, Pico and Sunapee for the season. That's access to 378 trails, 150 miles of skiable terrain and 18 terrain parks, according to Pico.com. You also get five buddy passes to get your friends 50 percent off their lift ticket. All for $409. If you're an avid skier or boarder this is the way to go.

#2 Ski Butternut— Great Barrington, Mass.

It's pretty rare to catch a deal on the weekends, especially one this good. Ski Butternut is one of the top mountains in Massachusetts, not far from Mount Holyoke College, and they offer a great college discount: a whopping $20 off any weekend or holiday ticket. That means students only pay $35 on Saturday or Sunday. If you can make it to Butternut during the week you'll only pay $25.

#1 Mountain Creek— Vernon, NJ

Mountain Creek earned our number one spot. It's undoubtedly the ultimate value for college students because it just doesn't get better than free, right ladies? Each Tuesday girls with a valid college ID get free lift tickets, rentals and lessons. All you have to do is get there. Don't worry guys; they didn't leave you out entirely. Wednesdays all college students with valid ID ride for just $20. Mountain Creek's proximity to NYC sets it apart, just an hour drive to the mountain.
