Atlanta's New Indoor Theme Park With Epic Rides And A 35-Foot Slide Opens In Summer 2026
Atlanta's famously hot and humid summers have long inspired residents to seek reprieve indoors with air conditioning, and soon, locals will have an exciting new option right at their fingertips: Thrillz Indoor Adventure Amusement Park. This new venue is preparing to open for summer 2026 in Doraville, Atlanta, to bring the city a carnival-inspired experience. With theme parks like Six Flags closing locations as of late, this is a breath of fresh (air-conditioned) air for amusement park aficionados.
Totaling a massive 56,000 square feet, Thrillz combines the attractions of a country fair, a trampoline park, an arcade, and an amusement center all within the same building. It was built with guests of all ages in mind, attempting to offer something for everyone. That could mean tackling the challenging Ninja Warrior-esque obstacles, hovering over an arcade game for hours, or chasing the adrenaline high on the spinning and drop rides.
Atlanta marks the third location for the growing Thrillz brand. The company previously opened parks in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, and Danbury, Connecticut, which both helped shape Atlanta's layout. Feedback from visitors to those locations suggests the hype is real. On Google, Connecticut visitor Jule Baum said, "If you're looking for an exciting place to hang out with friends or family, this spot is definitely five stars." Another reviewer, Marcuz Caccio, praised the obstacle course, saying, "the course itself was perfectly designed — challenging enough to push you out of your comfort zone, but still safe and tons of fun. Each obstacle tested a different skill, from balance and endurance to teamwork and problem-solving."
What guests can expect at Thrillz Indoor Adventure Amusement Park
Attractions within Thrillz seem to be a wish list created by adrenaline-loving kids. Among the adventure park's most eye-catching and talked-about features is the Mega Slide Tower, a network of slides including one that's 35 feet high. Guests can climb aboard the Rush 360, a pendulum ride that swings, spins, and flips riders upside down. Nearby, the Drop Tower brings guests up to about 40 feet before plunging them back toward the ground, all while rotating. The Spinning Coaster is a twist on your average roller coaster, as each individual car turns on the track.
Virtual reality lovers will appreciate the VR Grave Digger attraction, one of only a handful in the country. This ride places up to six guests inside a life-sized monster truck for a virtual racing adventure. A separate VR roller coaster continues to stretch the imagination digitally. Visitors can test themselves on an obstacle course with rolling barrels and spinning logs suspended high above giant, stunt-like airbags to safely catch their fall. Interactive climbing walls incorporate moving platforms and rotating elements, while wall-to-wall trampolines provide free jumping, dodgeball games, and basketball dunk lanes.
Those with younger kids can head to the toddler area or the 10,000-square-foot jungle gym. The arcade has about 50 different games for those that intend to keep their feet firmly planted on the ground, and there are tons of prizes for winners to choose from. There are 10 themed party rooms for rent, as well as lockers and a cafe serving classic amusement park favorites like pizza and ICEEs.
Planning your trip to Thrillz Atlanta
Thrillz is hoping to open this new location in July 2026. They encourage guests to sign up for official announcements about the opening dates and the first chance to buy tickets by signing up through an online form. There will be several admission options so guests can tailor their visit based on the activities they want to do and their budgets. Options include time-based adventure packages, individual tickets for amusement rides, or bundled packages that combine both and give access to everything.
For those considering a trip, this unique theme park is in Doraville, Atlanta, near the notoriously busy interchange known as Spaghetti Junction. The location positions the park within reach of the Southeast's largest metropolitan populations and provides easy access for people coming from further afield. For visitors outside of Atlanta, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is about a 30-minute drive from the theme park. When you've had your fill of thrills and are ready to brave the heat, head to Atlanta's Botanical Garden for a laid-back escape full of natural beauty.
