One Of California's Biggest Water Parks Is Adding A Long-Awaited, Relaxing Lazy River

As Nathan Magsig, a member of the Fresno County Board of Supervisors, told the Fresno Bee, "This endless river addition [is] something that's going to attract people from all over the Central Valley to enjoy and bring families together."

The Endless River idea is a major addition to the park that did not happen overnight. "It's a ride that everyone's been asking for for a long time," Wild Water owner Kathy Siggers told The Business Journal. "It's been on our drawing board for 25 years." Siggers also told the Fresno Bee, "it's an engaging attraction. You can talk to your friends or family and relax." Siggers' husband founded the water park in 1973, and it has since been a worthy family-friendly attraction sitting pretty in the Golden State. The introduction of the relaxing lazy river promises an additional source of enjoyment amid the usual excitement the park is known for.

Visitors who are familiar with Wild Water Adventure Park know that most of the park's attractions feature thrilling, heart-pumping activities. But now, Endless River is stepping in with a more laid-back experience for guests who'd like to take in the surrounding beauty with a leisurely float. As Siggers told the Fresno Bee, "It's meant for tiny ones and senior citizens, and anyone in between."

The new lazy river will be about 900 feet long and 14 feet wide, flowing counterclockwise, with a depth of 30 to 66 inches. It will also feature several entry and exit points, including a gentle, zero-depth beach area to help visitors wade in easily. What's more, the park even plans to have small food and drink stands around the river, so visitors can get refreshments perhaps without needing to leave the water.
