Breathtaking Time Lapse Videos
I was recently chatting with a friend of mine who had, in the span of two weeks, returned from a 3-week trip to Africa and then road-tripped across the country, from New York City to Portland, OR—hitting as many national parks along her route as she could manage (jealous? I sure was). It wasn't until she'd settled into her new West Coast digs, though, that she called me with this revelation:
"Before my move, whenever I'd thought about amazing travel, I'd imagine destinations overseas (hence, the trip to Africa). But camping out at parks across the country reminded me of something—the U.S. is a really incredible place. I think I'm going to try to explore our own country for a while before I cross the border again."
The more I thought about it, the more I knew that she was right—I know a lot of people (myself included) who are guilty of the desire to explore outside of the States.
