Top All-Mountain Skis 2013: Blizzard Bonafide
BLIZZARD BONAFIDE
The razor-sharp Bonafide stands apart from all of the super balanced, vanilla do-everything all-mountain skis in that it excels at carving. It does have a generous width and rocker—bolstered by Blizzard's Flipcore technology, which adds rocker by turning the wood core upside-down during construction—that give it better-than-average float in powder. These crud-busting chargers are so powerful that one OnTheSnow reviewer compared a run with them to "standing on two battleships." Still, they are nimble enough for bumps. It's for all of those reasons that it scored higher than any other ski tested by SKI, earning it a Gold Medal Gear award.
Best For: Powerful, stable carving and better-than-average float.
