Spotlight Slope Of The Week: Bromley—Vermont

Chairlift pitch: "Bromley is a great all-around family mountain. We say "family" because we have something for everyone... our terrain is quite varied, with lots of easy to intermediate smooth groomers, plus a good amount of steep natural terrain on our East Side. We always mention the sunshine; we're the only mountain in Vermont that faces South! That means warmer, brighter days for everyone— we've been producing the best goggle tans in the East since 1936," said Janessa Purney, a Bromley representative.

Deals and discounts: Bromley brands itself as the family mountain and along with family fun come great deals. On Feb. 7, Bromley is hosting their annual Mom's Day Off, which is a fundraiser for the Southern Vermont Regional Cancer Center. The lift ticket costs just $15 for moms and the whole $15 is then donated to the cancer center.
Family Fridays mean $15 lift tickets for the kids and on Two-fer Tuesdays you can get two tickets for the price of one when you purchase online. These deals are not valid during holiday periods, and you can find other e-coupons here.
Renovations and additions: In the beginning of January, Bromley revamped their learning center. The Terrain Based Learning (TBL) adds features like mini half pipes, banked turns and rollers, helping beginners to learn on varied terrain and adding excitement to the lessons. Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort and Cranmore Mountain Resort also amended their beginner programs to TBL. Check out the video below to see a 3D layout of Bromley's new feature.

The Boar is great for a burger and a beer, with live music on Saturday nights and The Perfect Wife Restaurant (and The Other Woman Tavern) boast a rustic style featuring unconventional dishes.
