Daylight Savings: Active Ways To Spend The Hour

This Sunday, March 10, at 2am, Daylight Savings Time begins. What's that mean to you? Well, if you forget to set your clock ahead to 3am, you'll be an hour late for church Sunday morning...or for yoga, or for Sunday morning group ride or whatever cool thing you do on the weekend.[slideshow:627]

Otherwise, though, it means we all have a glorious extra hour of "useful" daylight (useful, that is, for those of us who aren't used to dawn patrol workouts). Here in New York, the sunset will be pushed back to around 7pm, which means I'll be able to ride home from work with the sun on my back. So, the question is, what are you going to do with all that extra light at the end of your day? We suggest you make the most of it. Shake off the winter hibernation, get outside and soak up those rays doing something active (wear sunscreen and sunglasses, of course). Here, we humbly present you with 11 ideas.
