Every Location In Disney World Where You Can Get Dole Whip (Not Just Magic Kingdom)
Disney fans will already know that Dole Whip is a park-snack staple when hitting up Disney World. One of the most popular snacks at Magic Kingdom, the frozen treat is made using non-dairy creamer, natural flavoring, sugar, and (in some cases) food coloring — all of which come together to create a creamy, sweet experience that's best enjoyed between rides. Although the most popular flavor is pineapple, Dole Whip is also available in plenty of other flavors: from lime to cherry, orange, mango, and more.
So, how exactly did the iconic dessert become so closely related to Disney parks? Created in 1984 by the Dole Food Company, the treat was originally made as a promotional food item for the Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland and was sold under a different name. Eight years later, "Dole Whip" became a thing, and it spread across to Aloha Isle at Walt Disney World. From there, the soft-serve quickly took off — and it's remained a fan favorite ever since.
Although the dessert is typically associated with Magic Kingdom — which has made a tradition of creating movie and character-inspired floats and cocktails that use it as a main ingredient — the truth is that Dole Whip (and its variations) extends far beyond the confines of this park. From Epcot to Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon, and even Disney Springs, Dole Whip is never too far out of reach (although, you will have to stand in line to get one).
Finding Dole Whip at the other Disney parks
Outside of Magic Kingdom, Dole Whip is available at three other major Disney parks: Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Typhoon Lagoon. In Epcot, the treat can be found at Refreshment Port, just before the Canada Pavillion. Additionally, during the park's Flower and Garden Festival, Dole Whip is also available at the booth in the Pineapple Promenade.
Moving on to Animal Kingdom, you'll be happy to know you can find it at two locations: Tamu Tamu Refreshments and Trilo-Bites. Specifically, Tamu Tamu offers a classic Dole Whip Pineapple Cup ($5.49), Dole Whip Pineapple Juice Float ($6.49), and Dole Whip Pineapple Orange Soda Float ($6.49). For the adults, the restaurant also serves a Dole Whip Pineapple Hard Cider Float ($14), a Dole Whip Pineapple Cup with Parrot Bay Coconut Rum ($12), and a Dole Whip Pineapple Juice Float with Parrot Bay Coconut Rum ($13). Meanwhile, Trilo-Bites puts its own spin on the treat with a Trilo-Bites Twist ($5.79), made with Dole Whip Orange and Vanilla soft-serve.
From there, you've got Disney's water park: Typhoon Lagoon. Make sure to head over to the Snack Shack for a taste of their lime-flavored Motunui Island Twist ($5.79) or a Dole Whip soft-serve ($4.99), available in four signature flavors. Feeling boozy? The Snack Shack also has an adult-friendly version of the Dole Whip soft-serve — spiked with a touch of rum or tequila — for $12.
Other places to enjoy Dole Whip
Outside of the parks, Dole Whip is also available at other locations associated with the Disney brand. For one, Disney World's Polynesian Village Resort offers the dessert at three of its dining establishments: Pineapple Lanai, with three kid-friendly variations of the dessert); and the Barefoot Pool Bar and Oasis Bar & Grill, which have Dole Whip-inspired cocktails starting from $15.
Over at Disney Springs — which has plenty of delicious restaurants to choose from — fans of Dole Whip can get their fill at the popular Swirls on the Water. Overlooking Lake Buena Vista, the restaurant has both seasonal and signature treats made with the much-loved ingredient, including Dole Whip floats ($6.49 for a classic, and starting from $11.99 with alcohol). Alternatively, for something a little more upscale, Disney Springs' Wine Bar George also uses the park staple in their specialty drinks. What's on the menu? A "frozcato" made with Dole Whip pineapple ($15) and a frozen old fashioned made with Dole Whip Orange ($15).
Lastly, for fans looking to embark on a Disney cruise, you'll be happy to know that Dole Whip is also available at sea. Specifically, you can find the dessert (for an extra cost) aboard Disney's Dream, Magic, Wonder, and Fantasy cruise lines.
