Glamp At A Stunning Destination Near The Grand Canyon At This Unique Resort

Glamping is a way to enjoy the adventure of a camping trip and the comfort of luxurious accommodations. It's a trend that has become increasingly popular over the past few years and continues to grow. Future Market Insights predicts that glamping will become an $11 billion industry by 2033. Glamping is a way to immerse yourself in nature without compromising comfort or convenience, and Backland, an eco-friendly resort in Arizona, offers a unique experience for glampers. After a day of hiking in the Grand Canyon or exploring one of the trails on the property, visitors can return to the resort for a chef-prepared meal. They can also enjoy a relaxing spa treatment and a host of other amenities that make time in nature comfortable and luxurious.

Backland is about 90 minutes from the Grand Canyon, near Williams, Arizona. Situated on 160 acres of private land, the resort is near a large ponderosa pine forest in the middle of National Forest lands. The resort offers 10 insulated glamping tents that provide air conditioning and heating. The tents also feature 16-foot wide windows, offering an expansive view of the beautiful forest of ponderosa pines outdoors. Inside every tent is a private ensuite bathroom, so there's no need to hike through the darkness at night to brush your teeth. Each tent also has a patio as well as convenient parking just a few feet away.

Enjoy luxurious accommodations and delicious meals

All of the tents in Backland have king-sized beds and a queen-sized sofa, and some tents also offer an additional twin bed and a rollaway for larger groups. In addition, the Sky Suites provide a 16-foot-long skylight that creates the glamping version of sleeping under the stars. It is perfect for stargazing as you drift off to sleep in the luxurious bedding.

The ensuite bathroom has a sink, toilet, and shower with hot water. Each tent has electricity, and the kitchen features a Keurig and microwave. While the large windows allow for plenty of natural light, it's also possible to close the blackout curtains if you prefer to sleep in. In the morning, the resort provides a complimentary breakfast with oatmeal, yogurt, a crepe bar, fruit, pastries, and granola. Fill a lunch box with a variety of wraps, sandwiches, or snacks for your daytime adventure.

Dinner is an elegant affair presented in a tent surrounded by windows, and the menu rotates frequently to offer guests the best of seasonal specialties. Many of the dishes feature whimsical titles that cater to the guests' interests and favorite activities, such as a Hikers Hummus Platter, a Fireside Grazing Board, or the Backland Burger. The Ranchers Choice NY Strip and Flame Grilled Salmon are other examples of the restaurant's fine dining experience in the luxurious camping environment. A selection of beers and wine are also available to accompany the meal.

Book a private tour of the Grand Canyon

There are a number of activities to enjoy on the Backland property, such as a trip down one of the hiking trails or an afternoon spent kayaking on the resort's pond. With its proximity to the Grand Canyon, Backland offers visitors the chance to take a private, guided tour through this magnificent site. These excursions are provided by Grand Canyon Adventures and are booked through the resort. The trips are tailored for each party and can include hiking through the Canyon or just sightseeing along the rim. Sunset tours and helicopter trips can be arranged as well. Other memorable adventures, just a few minutes from Backland, include a ride on the Grand Canyon Railway featuring Old West entertainment or a spectacular hike along the rim of Sycamore Falls.

The resort also features a separate tented spa where you can book 60- or 90-minute massages, perfect for soothing weary muscles after a day outside. After dinner, guests are welcome to gather around the fire pit each evening and enjoy making complimentary s'mores as night descends and the stars come out. Stargazing is a truly remarkable experience at Backland. With the city's lights far away, the night sky is filled with more stars than many guests have ever seen. The resort offers complimentary telescopes, allowing visitors to see as far away as the craters on the moon, creating more remarkable memories during an extraordinary glamping trip.
