Women On The Rock: Mina Leslie-Wujastyk
British climber Mina Leslie-Wujastyk recently completed the boulder problem Tetris (V12) in Wild Basin in Rocky Mountain National Park, CO. The climb was no easy feat: Leslie-Wujastyk fell repeatedly before she finished the route successfully. It is her hardest project to date.
It's an impressive accomplishment that most male climbers could only dream about and part of the ongoing trend of women putting their mark on the sport.
According to Leslie-Wujastyk's blog, she began indoor climbing at the age of 8 after her parents noticed her love for playing on a steel piece of playground equipment at her school. As a teenager, she began to venture out to the rocks in the Peak District, Portland and Fontainbleau.
Leslie-Wujastyk still lives in Sheffield, UK, but travels the world to find the best climbing. She is part of the Great Britain Bouldering Team and her sponsors include Arc'Teryx and Five Ten.
