VIDEO: Iceland's Midnight Sun
In 2011, filmmaker Michael Levy traveled to Iceland to capture the midnight sun phenomenon.
Every summer as the solstace approaches, Iceland has a few weeks with only three hours of semi-darkness each night. For Levy, it was an amazing time to shoot, as the quality of light during the midnight sun lent the landscape a "very unusual" and "spectacular" quality.
To get the footage, he traversed the island solo for 17 days, covering 2,900 miles and shooting as much as possible. He slept and ate when he could fit it in.
