Travel Snap: This Week's Featured Photo
This week's featured photo comes from Dennis Behm out of Beavers Bend & Hochatown State Park. This 1,300-acre Oklahoma park is home to a section of the 14,000-acre Broken Bow Lake and part of the Mountain Fork River. This popular river is open year-round for trout fishing (with a license) and they host fly-fishing clinics.
In addition to fishing Beavers Bend offers 16 miles of hiking trails, 4 miles of mountain biking trails and beaches with roped off areas for swimming. Overnight accommodations range from tent sites to cottages and there are hookups for RVs. Daytime admission to the park is free, but overnight stays range in price from $12 to $20+ (prices are subject to change).
