When you hear the name Chris Sharma, what's the first thing you wonder about? The climbing superstar's skincare routine, of course!
OK, not really. But apparently The New York Times fashion squad did wonder just that—and they managed to get an answer out of him, complete with product recommendations.
If you'e curious, check out the full piece here. If you couldn't give a damn, here are the highlights:
-
The first sentence: "Let's face it: when you're clinging to the side of a cliff hundreds of feet above sea level, wrinkles are the last thing on your mind." Honest, if not deep.
-
Sharma uses anti-aging products. Women's anti-aging products. Specifically: Aveeno Baby Natural Protection Mineralblock face stick ($9.99 at drugstore.com); RevitaLift Triple Power Deep-Acting Moisturizer ($25 at drugstores); Nivea Q10 Plus Anti-Wrinkle Cream ($18.70 at amazon.com). He also uses gender-neutral Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer and Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream.
-
To be fair, Sharma's skin care regimen is at the behest of his girlfriend, climber Delia Ojeda, who had to coax him to even start wearing sunscreen. And ultimately, he manages to maintain a manly nonchalance, even when talking moisturizers.

Not to be without any glamor, though, the NYT does bless readers with quite the Blue Steel headshot.
