According to TikToker Brooke Wyatt, if you sit on the left side of the plane while flying into New York's LaGuardia airport, you'll see magnificent views of downtown Manhattan.
It's not just LaGuardia where seat selection pays off. The left side of the plane is the best place to sit if you're flying into cities like Montreal, Berlin, Dubai, and Sydney.
Writing for The Vancouver Sun, Chad Skelton also explains that when traveling westbound in North America, the left side of the plane is south-facing, avoiding the sun's hot glare.
Anton Radchenko, founder of AirAdvisor, also revealed that the "left side typically provides more headrest room than the right due to the location of the windows."
According to a 2018 study, getting sick on an airplane is more likely when sitting in an aisle seat since you have closer encounters with other passengers.
