Oprah Shares Her Favorite Middle Eastern City To Visit

One place that multi-award-winning media mogul Oprah Winfrey wants you to check out is Petra in Jordan, which she visited in March 2023.
Oprah posted pics from Petra on Instagram, stating, "It takes 3 days to really see it all we only spent 3 hours. Put it on your must-see list if you haven't already!"
Petra is located in a secluded valley in the mountains of southern Jordan and is built on the site where the prophet Moses is said to have brought water from a rock with his staff.
While the ancient city of Petra is known for its world-famous Treasury that Oprah visited, many of its most wondrous sights are hidden away in a narrow canyon called the Siq.
As one of the seven new wonders of the world, Petra is well-geared to cater to thousands of visitors each year. Many companies also offer tours, camel rides, and refreshments.
Once you've checked out the stunning facade of the Treasury, visit the Royal Tombs, a series of impressive mausoleums, and the Monastery, which is beautifully preserved.
