Enjoy Fun Family-Friendly Outdoor Adventures At These U.S. Destinations

Based in Whitefish, Montana, this ranch offers many fun things to do, such as hatchet throwing, UTV rides, archery tag, and Lion Mountain hiking.

In addition to trail rides, guests can take roping lessons from professionals and herd cattle on horseback. Children 12 and under can enter the Kids' Rodeo every Friday night.
At night, the ranch hosts line dancing, campfires, birds of prey displays, and whiskey tasting. Kids can also join The Ranch's Kids' Program to give parents some alone time.
There are many incredible family-friendly outdoor adventures in Utah. Sand Hollow State Park is a popular place to fish, jet ski, paddleboard, or kayak.
Utah
Goblin Valley State Park, named for its sandstone "goblins" and colorful valley, gives off serious out-of-this-world vibes. Families can hike, mountain bike, and disc golf.
Finally, families can spend quality time together hiking through Arches National Park or Zion National Park, rafting along the Colorado River, or off-roading in Moab.
Home to 200,000 of Florida's 1.25 million alligators, Everglades National Park features airboat rides, jungle-like trails, tours, and the Shark Valley Observation Tower.

There are 99 miles of Everglade Wilderness Waterway, so hop in a canoe or kayak and explore. Kids can also become Junior Rangers, with plenty of hands-on activities available.
In the summer at Yellowstone National Park, families can bike to the Lone Star Geyser, ride horseback to the Tower-Roosevelt Junction, and see the Old Faithful eruption.

There are three Yellowstone Junior Ranger programs on offer for kids aged 4-13. Head to a visitor center to pay a small fee for the activity booklet to earn your patch.
Cool off with a whitewater rafting excursion on the Yellowstone River, or head out in a canoe or kayak on a guided cruise to see the park's beauty from a different viewpoint.
This Arizona powerhouse is a haven for families in search of outdoor fun. Kids will love zipping around the crimson rocks on an off-road Pink Jeep Tour.
Sedona
Sedona is also prime for long walks, biking, and rock scrambling. Cathedral Rock is a must-see attraction, featuring spire-like red rock formations.
Sedona is also home to hidden waterfalls. Slide Rock State Park boasts multiple small cascades and one of the top swimming holes in the U.S.
