Cruise Cabins To Avoid Booking For A More Peaceful Voyage
By NICOLE CORD-CRUZ
Picking the perfect cruise cabin involves a host of factors, but booking one that will guarantee you a quiet and peaceful voyage is all about location.
If you want a peaceful voyage, avoid booking any stateroom above, below, or near the pool decks, casinos, dining rooms, bars, nightclubs, and launderettes.
You’ll also want to avoid booking cabins near elevator banks and stairwells as well as connecting cabins since the extra doors make them less soundproof.
Before committing to a cabin, review your cruise ship's deck plans to find a stateroom with rooms beside, below, and above it to ensure peace and quiet during your trip.
Cabins by the rear or aft tend to be quieter and steer clear of the lowest levels to avoid engine-related noise. To secure the ship’s quietest cabins, make sure to book early.
