Avoid Eating These Breakfast Foods According To An Ex-Hotel Worker
By CHRISTINE ESTIMA
According to an ex-hotel worker, the free hot breakfast buffets at hotels shouldn't be your first choice. In fact, she says you should avoid a hot hotel breakfast altogether.
Brandi Augustus posted a video to her TikTok account, saying, "If your hotel serves a hot continental breakfast, eggs, waffles, stuff like that, don't eat that s***!"
Augustus said she was trained only to use one paper towel to clean all the kitchen equipment. She also revealed the waffle batter isn't made fresh daily.
Some in the industry suggest you stick to the cold continental breakfast rather than the buffet. Tasting Table suggests choosing pre-packaged items like single-serve yogurts.
Augustus suggests that DoubleTree Hotels may have a greater standard of hygiene for their breakfasts — if you must have your scrambled eggs, book a room there.
