Absolutely Stunning Hotel Lobbies Around The World
By SANJAY SURANA
In Otemachi Tower, the über-exclusive hotel brand Aman sits on the 33rd floor. Visitors will marvel at the lobby’s atrium and cityscape views of the Imperial Palace.
The lobby's cathedral ceiling is accentuated by thick teak columns, sculptural posts with elephant motifs, and an ornately sculpted metal panel resembling a theatrical curtain.
It has 2,000 delicate, multi-colored, hand-blown glass flowers that create a garden in the air. Weighing 40,000 pounds, it required a special skeleton to install.
This lobby has over-the-top opulence with a soaring atrium, wild, bold colors, gilt accents, and thousands of Swarovski crystals embedded in the ceiling.
The lobby has an ornate glass chandelier and handsome checked flooring. A long seating area is flanked by large planters, creating a procession of sorts toward the water.
