Old Man River Mississippi Adventure, Episode 7
On days 77-82 of the 110-day expedition down the Mississippi, in the heart of America and floating on the country's largest freshwater river, the team encounters an unexpected challenge: thirst.
After experiencing heavy rains the river is flowing fast, but the increasingly polluted Mississippi is far from potable. But when the team hits a remote stretch of river and finds themselves out of water, they're forced to drink from the Mississippi, highlighting a recurrent theme of the trip: finding potable water on a supposedly freshwater river.
Finally, they reach a ressuply point—the iconic southern city of Memphis, Tennessee, where they are outfitted with food and supplies before pushing on downstream.
