Walmart announced today that it's partnering with the Tribeca Film Festival to offer drive-in movie theaters across the country. The experience is slated to transform 160 Walmart parking lots into outdoor theaters from Aug. 14 to Oct. 21.

As a way to acknowledge the challenges that its customers have faced amid the coronavirus pandemic, the experience is offered for free to Walmart customers.

Walmart's contactless, drive-in movie theater locations are accessible in: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and West Virginia. Movies being shown include family-friendly favorites like "Wonder Woman," "Space Jam," "Ghostbusters," "The Wizard of Oz," "Black Panther" and more.

The event is free, but families interested in attending should visit www.TheWalmartDriveIn.com for dates, specific locations and to reserve a space.

Be sure to bring along family members, your favorite snacks and a car or FM radio for audio. The experience is a great outdoor activity for kids stuck at home during the pandemic
