- After moving to Las Vegas in 2010, Mark secured his first travel writing gig with a company specializing in bachelor parties. It made getting familiar and comfortable in the new city much easier and blossomed into writing content for companies in New York, Montreal, Dallas, and the Dominican Republic.
- His work with a Hawaiian tour company allowed him to extensively cover the Pearl Harbor National Memorial in Oahu. This work has been referenced and cited in pieces for Forbes and the Los Angeles Daily News and has been used as a reference point for college-level essays.
- He specializes in "dark tourism" and spends much of his free time researching historic locations across the country known for being haunted. His aspiration is to stay in one haunted hotel in all 50 states and write about his experiences.
Experience
Mark launched his freelance writing career in 2009, and a year later he landed his first travel client: Vegas VIP, a company specializing in bachelor and bachelorette parties in Vegas, Dallas, and New York City. This paved the way for his work with Holo Hawaii Tours, where he developed Hawaii tourism blogs for sites like PearlHarbor.org from 2016 until the COVID pandemic shut down tourism to the islands. In August 2024, he returned to travel content as a writer for Static Media, where he currently freelances as an editor. Mark also dabbles in dark tourism, paranormal legends, and cryptid mythology as a researcher and writer for US Ghost Adventures nationwide ghost tours.

Mark has a bachelor's degree in communication from Southern New Hampshire University.
